Spinel Việt Nam từ mỏ Lục Yên

Việt Nam được thiên nhiên ban tặng với khoảng 70 mỏ đá quý và 160 lần khám phá mỏ mới khác nhau, với nhiều loại đá quý chất lượng tốt. Việt Nam khai thác các loại đá quý gồm Ruby, Sapphire, Spinel, Tourmaline, Peridot, Garnet, Aquamarine, Topaz, Quartz và Green Orthoclase.

Ruby và Spinel lần đầu tiên được phát hiện ở Việt Nam vào đầu những năm 1987. Kể từ đó, những viên đá quý này đã có mặt trên thị trường đá quý thế giới, mặc dù nguồn cung chưa nhiều.

Mỏ đá quý Spinel Việt Nam

Spinel Việt Nam ban đầu được tìm thấy ở Lục Yên tỉnh Yên Bái và Quỳ Châu tỉnh Nghệ An. Nhưng ngày nay, Yên Bái là nguồn duy nhất còn hoạt động.

Các mỏ chủ yếu nằm ở An Phú, Khoan Thông, Minh Tiến, Trúc Lâu ở Lục Yên và Tân Hương ở Yên Bình.

Trầm tích mới nhất được tìm thấy vào tháng 2/2010 ở Làng Chấp, nổi bật với những viên đá orange-red padparadscha-like stone. Tuy nhiên, mỏ spinel có năng suất cao nhất vẫn là mỏ Cống Trọc cũ ở An Phú, khai thác nhiều màu sắc khác nhau.

Có thể tìm thấy những viên “baby pink gem” thuần khiết rất tinh xảo. Một số nhà kinh doanh đá quý đã gọi Lục Yên là thiên đường thuần khiết của Pink Spinel. Red Spinel ở Việt Nam đã được tìm thấy nhưng cho đến nay chúng thực sự rất hiếm.

Blue Spinel từ mỏ Lục Yên

Blue spinel được khai thác tại Sri Lanka, Tanzania, Myanmar, Pakistan, và Vietnam. Năm 2021 tại khu mỏ đá quý Mahenge, Tanzania Cobalt Blue Spinel được tìm thấy và có cùng thành phần hóa học với những viên đá quý tại mỏ Lục Yên.

Tại Việt Nam, Lục Yên là nguồn cung cấp đá quý Blue Spinel sống động hàng đầu. Các phân tích hóa học và quang phổ chỉ ra rằng màu xanh lam là do cobalt (Co²⁺) và sắt (Fe).

Trầm tích Corundum ở khu vực Tân Hương – Trúc Lâu của Việt Nam chủ yếu nằm trong gneiss và một phần trong feldspathic pegmatoid và marble.

Quá trình biến đổi chất tạo ra vầng hào quang spinel bao quanh Corundum được giải thích bằng các phản ứng hóa học:

(a) biotite + corundum → spinel + K-feldspar + fluid (H₂O)

(b) corundum + garnet → spinel + sillimanite for calc-silicate gneissic rocks
